Christmas Time!

“Jesus, the Son of God, came to Earth for all people.”

How many times have you wished as a child that Santa Claus would visit you tonight and bring you gifts? Christmas is a time of joy, peace, and celebration. It is the season set aside to commemorate Jesus Christ's birth. Christmas is simply a reminder of why we should stay true to humanity's core values. That is, despite the COVID-19 epidemic, we still treasure Christmas in our homes and are taught to share, contribute to the less fortunate, spend time with loved ones, and have a positive attitude towards life in general through festivity. It's the holiday season! It's that time of year again, and we're all looking forward to it.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, Christmas in 2021 will be very different from any other year. So many people have already died as a result of this fatal sickness, and the number does not appear to be decreasing any time soon. This year, we won't be able to experience the normal Christmas joy and mirth that we've come to expect. COVID, however, should not detract from our Christmas festivities. We will continue to celebrate Christmas, but only with our immediate families, in order to maintain our health and safety. Despite not being able to be together in person, there are ways to celebrate and enjoy the holidays. Shopping for Christmas gifts online, watching movies with our family, and video chatting with friends and relatives are just a few of the things we may do. Even though this holiday season will be different and unpleasant for many, we may take solace in knowing that the sacrifices we make now will protect us, our loved ones, and our communities. Let us promote more hope, peace, joy, and love this holiday season!

Christmas is, without a doubt, the most wonderful time of the year for both children and adults. Despite the fact that this year has been challenging for all of us, we remain hopeful. That, among all of the fear and despair caused by the pandemic, God is with us, has always been with us, and always will be with us. Jesus is the world's light! May the infant Jesus always have a place in our hearts; may our lives reflect Christ's presence; and may our homes exude God's peace. We will all get through this crisis together because we have a lot of faith, hope, and love.

Our vision for every child is a life in all its fullness

We all know that children are an important segment of our population since they are our country's future. Today's children will grow up to be adults who will work and manage the country in the future. As a result, the country's future well-being is dependent on today's children. Because they are deemed vulnerable, children are entitled to special protection and help. Every child has rights, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, wealth, or birthplace. Peace, dignity, tolerance, freedom, equality, and solidarity should be instilled in all children. Children have a much better chance of growing up in a society that allows them to thrive when their rights are protected.

Covid 19 has been around for a year, and it has affected children just as much as it has adults. Children become sick less frequently than adults, but a few children have become very ill. Because it is a pandemic, officials have imposed a lockdown, which means that children are unable to go outside and must remain at home 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Not all children have a perfect home, because some children have endured abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence in their own homes. The children's home is becoming dangerous. Furthermore, growing up in a home where there is violence and abuse has a significant impact on a child's growth, dignity, and physical and psychological well-being. Children's rights are crucial because they protect children against abuse and violence. While other children feel agitated, anxious, and depressed as a result of their circumstances, they are suffering anxiety and sadness. Children are also experiencing these as a result of the new method of learning. They were under too much pressure, and as a result, they took their own lives.

The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated how inequality affects every child's rights. Children and young people are raising their voices on problems that concern to their generation, such as climate change, education, and mental health, as well as abolishing prejudice and discrimination, and calling on adults to help them create a better future. It is more crucial than ever during World Children's Month. Children must be protected at all costs because they are the future of our country.

Save Mother Earth, Save Ourselves

The environment provides us with several benefits for which we will never be able to repay over the course of our lives. They are linked to the forest, trees, animals, water, and air because they are related to each other. The air is filtered and hazardous gases are absorbed by the forest and trees. Plants filter water, minimize flood risk and maintain natural equilibrium, among other things. The air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink, as well as the numerous things we require in our homes, at work, and for leisure activities, are all provided by the environment. The environment is one of the most valuable resources available to anyone. Consider how we humans would starve to death if there was no environment. That is why it is essential for every person to preserve and save the environment since it is our source of natural beauty and essential for our bodily and emotional well-being.

We are already aware that we must act to protect the environment. It is also critical to promote the types of actions that we must adopt into our daily lives in order to protect our environment. There are numerous things we can do to help the environment, even if they are small things. To save natural resources and landfill space, avoid and stop discarding garbage into the ocean. Instead, practice reducing, reusing, and recycling. We must reduce our electricity use and waste like turning off the light bulb as a simple act. Water shortages are becoming a serious concern as the world's population expands. Therefore, we must instill the habit of utilizing fewer resources through water conservation methods. As many trees as possible should be planted since they give food and air. They aid in energy conservation, air purification, and climate change mitigation. Participate in community clean-ups as a volunteer. Bring a reusable shopping bag and buy less plastic. Once and for all, help others comprehend the necessity and worth of our natural resources by educating them.

Humans, it's time to wake up! take actions to protect our environment. it is our responsibility to keep the environment clean and safe for all living things. Because environmental conversation is in the power of humans - us. Only people have the ability to take action to conserve the environment, and thereby saves lives on the planet. Everyone must put in their best efforts to aid in the restoration of the ecosystem. This healing process, however, may take time, but our continued efforts will undoubtedly pay off. Come forward and contribute to preserve the environment for ourselves and future generations if you wish to breathe fresh.

New Education Quality amidst Pandemic

"We are in this together - and we will get through this, together."

- Antonio Guterres

Education is critical because it is a tool for improving and achieving success in our lives. Quality education is also important because it is both a human right and one of the most fundamental public services. It enables students to develop all of their characteristics and skills in order to reach their full potential as human beings and members of society. Because of the pandemic, the government and authorities must close schools, implement safety precautions, and keep children safe, among other things. They also determine how education quality can be adapted during a pandemic, which is why online education appears to be the only option for ensuring education continuity.

Students in online education faced numerous challenges, including the fact that some of them did not have access to the internet. Inadequate access to smartphones, laptops and other technologies is required for online classes. Technical issues included a computer that abruptly shut down and required a restart, as well as spotty Wi-Fi. Distraction and time management, where there may be more distractions than usual when younger siblings are around; as a result, time management becomes more difficult. Because of poor communication skills, there is a lack of in-person interaction. In addition to the challenges that students faced during online classes, there was anxiety, depression, lack of knowledge about the lessons, and it is difficult to study on your own without the assistance of the teacher in modular. Some young people are not carrying out their responsibilities as a student, such as answering and completing their modules, so it is up to their parents to do so.

To summarize, the pandemic caught us off guard, and we must work hard to better understand all the consequences of learning and quickly improve educational quality. Governments and public authorities should ensure that all students, from infancy to adulthood, have free access to a high-quality education. Education is the light in the darkness, and it is a fundamental human right. Uneducated youth is the worst thing that can happen to humanity. Above all, governments in all countries must ensure that education is widely disseminated.

Chase for a better Philippines

"Today isn't a race, but rather, a chase for a better Philippines"

The Philippines is frequently subjected to social, environmental, financial, and cultural disasters, which devastate nature and make our country susceptible. As the covid-19 pandemic spread, the Philippines became more ill. Investing in resilience is one way to reduce the effects of disasters in our country. To become a stronger country, we must plan ahead of time what we will do to face and solve the challenges and problems. “We need to bring the economy back to life and we don’t need to die trying,” says PwC Philippines Chairman and Senior Partner Alexander Cabrera.

Education, system, people, and industrialization are the factors or challenges we must address to become a more resilient country. Education is the most important because an educated country will become a powerful country; it develops people’s ideology and values, which gives them the ability to think rationally. System because when democratic things work for the people, they can choose who they want to vote for and it helps them in political education by encouraging elected officials to work harder to satisfy the people. People because it is their responsibility to assist the government, and if many people begin to consider their responsibilities in our country, our country will have many hands to increase its growth rate. Industrialization occurs when a country with a strong military typically has greater security and stability.

If the Philippines becomes more resilient, it will have an impact on an individual’s personality. Furthermore, our country will become successful if the government promotes the laws and policies that it creates. But, in my opinion, a truly successful country must generate sustainable well-being, in which people are happy and healthy without having an undue impact on the environment.

Open Letter to President Duterte

Dear President:

Mr. President, I am writing this to convey my gratitude to you. Thank you for serving our country; I admire you for being brave in order to protect people, for overcoming societal problems such as drug addiction, and for maintaining the Philippines’ natural beauty. When you became president of our country, a lot of things happened, and being president is not easy. However, with God’s aid, you accomplished the big change that you promised to the people. Many people despise you because you course, and I’m surprised since you’re the president, you’re supposed to be a role model.

Things became more complicated when the covid-19 pandemic occurred. But we trusted and believed in you because we are called to honor our leader and that everything will be fine someday. However, many Filipinos are unable to receive government assistance, causing them to suffer even more. But I understand how difficult it is because you (we) cannot save everyone. May God grant you a long life, good health, and peace of mind.

People despise you and I understand why: because they are suffering and in pain. I hope that the number of cases of covid decreases and that people heal. You’re the best president I’ve ever known. I pray to God to give you more strength to face all of your problems and to make our community a safer place. Mr. President, thank you for everything you’ve done.

Respectfully yours,

Jamaica Domingo

Few Words About Me

Jamaica Domingo is my name. At my high school, I am in junior high. I was born on January 21, 2006, and I turned 15 last year. Pantay Fatima, Vigan City, is where I call home. My two siblings are an older sister and a younger brother. My mother is a full-time housewife, and my father is a seaman. I exemplified a diverse personality, including qualities such as kindness and thoughtfulness. I am a determined individual and a hard-working person.

I am an introvert person, which is why I don’t like crowded places and don’t speak much. I enjoy being alone. I enjoy spending time with my close friends, as well as reading books and writing to express myself. When I’m bored, I’ll draw structures like buildings and houses. When it comes to my studies, I am a very organize, responsible, and hard-working individual. One of my biggest challenges is my health, because I get sick easily. I am afraid in everything because maybe one day all I have will be gone.

I’m the one with a big dream. I’m always striving for great things, but my laziness always threatens to derail me. My family, and of course, God, are my resources for inspiration. I want to be an architect or an engineer in the future, but I’m not sure yet, which is why I am worried about my future. I know one thing for certain: I will be successful in the future.
