Empower a Woman to Empower Next Generation

Gender equality is a human right first and foremost. A woman has the right to live in dignity, free from hunger and fear. How many of us would be shocked, enraged, and offended if someone said, "Women belong in the kitchen." How many of us would agree that something wasn't quite right and that something had to be done? Or, alternatively, how many people would sit back and do nothing? We fit into one of the groups, but the question is, where do we fit in? Since the dawn of time, men have had a negative attitude towards women. Women have historically been viewed as inferior or subordinate to men. We can't dispute that there is still gender disparity. It is more prevalent in our society. In fact, discrimination against women begins even before they are born. It's a sad reality, but it's the truth.

Women's empowerment is defined as fostering women's self-esteem, their ability to make their own decisions, and their right to affect societal change for themselves and others. It's linked to female empowerment, a basic human right that's also necessary for a more peaceful and successful world. In today's society, women's empowerment is vitally needed. It is crucial for both women's self-esteem and society's. Women have the right to participate in education, society, the economy, and politics on an equal footing with males. They have the ability to choose their religion, language, occupation, and other activities. Women's empowerment is the single most critical aspect of a country's overall development. We should enhance our self-esteem, shut out negativity, know our own values, oppose injustice, and more to empower women. Women's empowerment benefits entire families, and these benefits frequently have long-term consequences for future generations. Women's empowerment is essential for long-term development and the fulfillment of all human rights.

Women and girls who are healthy, educated, and empowered are change agents. Women's empowerment is critical for the health and development of families, communities, and nations. Women can attain their greatest potential when they live in a safe, joyful, and productive environment. They can contribute their abilities to the workforce while also raising happier and healthier kids. They can also contribute to the development of sustainable economies, as well as benefit society and mankind as a whole. Women's empowerment in the purest sense will only be realized once society's attitudes toward fairness and equality have changed.

Journey Through Learning

Life in high school. It was, without a doubt, the happiest time of our lives. However, after COVID-19 began, things have changed. We're all locked up in our houses studying, which makes things difficult because we're doing it on our own "self-study." Yes, studying by yourself is quite difficult. Furthermore, I found this module and its content to be really enjoyable. I've picked up a lot of great ideas that I'll definitely use in the future, and it's got me eager to return to the classroom!

I've learned a lot about Community-Based Projects and HTML during the period this quarter. This is my first experience with a community-based project; at first, I had too many complaints, but in the end, I was able to complete it. It's a little difficult for me to understand the module because I'm terrible at writing essays and conducting research. Overall, I had a lot of troubles or difficulties this quarter because I needed to write a lot of essays. Accepting that I must complete all of these obstacles is how I approach them. In addition, I effectively manage my time by creating a daily calendar of tasks to be completed. I also go out and reward myself from time to time to relieve my stress. Despite the unfavorable experiences, I was able to enjoy my quarter's journey.

Moving on, I will do my best for the next quarter. I'll take the things I've learned on this journey with me and use them in the future. I intend to use the time management and organization strategies in my daily life to the fullest extent possible. I've discovered that I function best when my life is well-organized and scheduled. In addition, being a visual learner, I will adapt the study skills and tactics I learned this quarter to how I study in the future. I'll set objectives and stick to them. Don't put it off any longer! Make every effort to be the best person and student I can!

Be Vaccinated Against Covid-19

Every year, vaccines save millions of lives. Over one million people have been infected with COVID-19 across the world. As the number of people infected with COVID-19 continues to climb across the country and around the world, scientists are working on a vaccine to help treat the sickness and prevent it from spreading further – a critical practice for a disease as contagious as COVID-19. Vaccines, on the whole, are effective at limiting disease spread by providing immunity. Vaccines and childhood immunization are critical for protecting yourself, your children, and society as a whole from dangerous diseases and preventing outbreaks and pandemics. Vaccines protect against diseases that have the potential to become pandemics, and by vaccinating on a regular basis, diseases can potentially be eradicated totally.

Vaccines provide the body with immunity. When a virus infects the body, the immune system responds by producing antibodies to combat the antigen. More than 8,300 COVID-19-related hospitalizations and almost 100 COVID-19-related fatalities have occurred in children aged 5 to 11. COVID-19 is one of the top ten causes of death among children aged 5 to 11 years old. It is critical to acquire a COVID-19 vaccine since it can help protect children aged 5 and up from contracting the disease. This vaccine protects family members, including siblings who are not eligible for vaccination and family members who are at a higher risk of becoming very ill if they become infected. Even if children contract COVID-19, this can assist them in avoid becoming extremely ill. Furthermore, there are possible side effects for your children after getting vaccinated, including soreness in the arm where the shot was given, fatigue, headache, fever, chills, and muscular pain. However, this is normal because the negative effects will subside in a few days.

Vaccines are free, safe, and effective. COVID-19 vaccinations have been used to vaccinate billions of individuals with no adverse effects. The COVID-19 vaccines were produced as quickly as possible, but they must all pass rigorous clinical trials to demonstrate that they fulfill internationally agreed-upon safety and efficacy standards. Getting vaccinated causes an antibody response, which protects you from contracting the disease without having to go through it. Experts are looking into both natural immunity and vaccine-induced immunity as essential aspects of COVID-19. Because children and teenagers are more vulnerable and their health is more in danger than adults, they should get vaccinated. Let us all be vaccinated so that we can save the world.

Day of Valor: Celebrating Modern Day Heroes

Araw ng Kagitingan (Filipino for "Day of Valor"), also known as Bataan Day, or Bataan and Corregidor Day, is a Philippine national holiday commemorating the fall of Bataan during World War II. It is observed on April 9, though it was moved to April 6 in 2009 because it would have coincided with Maundy Thursday. During the months of January to April of 1942, Filipino and American forces battled in a violent war. The Bataan Death March began on April 9, 1942, when the commander of the Luzon Force, Major General Edward P. King Jr., surrendered over 76,000 soldiers who were famished and sick. He surrendered against General Douglas McArthur's orders. Those captured troops who didn't make it through the long and arduous journey were left to die. The Bataan Death March claimed the lives of thousands of Filipino soldiers and hundreds of American soldiers.

Araw ng Kagitingan is a Philippine national holiday that falls on or around April 9. Many streets will be closed, and public transportation routes may be rerouted to accommodate the parades. Malls and other recreational locations are open, and most people may go there and spend the day with their families. Veterans of World War II will parade in numerous places around the Philippines to commemorate the day. The main ceremony takes place in Bataan at the Mt. Samat Shrine, which honors the bravery and sacrifice of Filipino and American troops during WWII. The Philippines' president delivers a speech honoring veterans. The Day of Valor festival honors and celebrates the pagkabayani, or courage, of World War II soldiers while also mourning the deaths of those who perished. This day is significant because it honors the Filipino and American soldiers who fought the Japanese during World War II.

This day reminds us that our bravery must extend beyond defending our lands from foreign attack. Our adversaries are found among us, within our own country. The Day of Valor is an opportunity for Filipinos today and tomorrow to reflect on times of strength and courage in the face of adversity and to rely on that strength again if necessary. The Araw ng Kagitingan can never be solely about the bravery of those who came before us and fought. The call to valor is a reminder to every Filipino of who we are, what we've accomplished in the past, what values we hold dear today, and what we must do to protect them at all times.

“LENT: A Time to Renew”

In the Christian church, Lent is a month of penitential preparation for Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday, six and a half weeks before Easter, and includes a 40-day fast in remembrance of Jesus Christ's fasting in the wilderness prior to his public ministry. Various churches have varied programs for prayers, devotions, and other religious acts to recall the life of Jesus Christ during Lent, which is also known as Kwaresma. Lent is supposed to be a season of repentance. That isn't a sense of guilt, but rather an understanding of how sin separates us from God and how much it cost him to reconcile us. This is frequently regarded as a time of preparation and a chance to grow closer to God. This means it's a period of personal meditation for people as they prepare their hearts and minds for Good Friday and Easter.

For Christian communities all across the world, the Lenten season has already begun. Lent is a significant religious observance in the Christian world because it commemorates the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's Son, our Saviour, and Redeemer. It's a good moment to think about what it means to be a Christ-follower. It's also an occasion to repent for our sins and misgivings, as well as to increase the intensity of our prayer, fasting, almsgiving, religious practice, and invite people into our faith community as brothers and sisters. Furthermore, Lent is a time to deepen and strengthen our faith, which unites us and allows us to accomplish everything because of our love and devotion to Jesus. Prayer, fasting and giving, or charity, are the three main things individuals focus on during Lent.

During Lent, we focus our prayers on our need for God's forgiveness. It's also about confessing one's sins and accepting God's forgiveness and love. During Lent, fasting, or giving up something, is a widespread tradition. The notion is that giving up a daily habit, such as eating dessert or looking through Facebook, might serve as a reminder of Jesus' sacrifice. Responding to God's kindness, generosity, and love by giving money or doing something good for others is one way to express gratitude. Some people, for example, volunteer their time or donate money.

It's crucial to keep in mind that doing these things will never earn or merit Jesus' sacrifice or a relationship with God. People will never be good enough for a flawless God because they are flawed. Only Jesus has the ability to save us from our own sins. Because I've seen the results of prayer, I believe in its power. Spending time praying, fasting, and giving throughout Lent can help to make Jesus' sacrifice on Good Friday and resurrection on Easter even more significant. Lent is an opportunity to empathize more with people who are true without luxuries or even basic requirements. Lent can aid in the development of a more disciplined, intimate, and real prayer life as well as a stronger feeling of one's need for God minute by minute.
