TREASURE

 

               For me, high school has been a fascinating experience. It has had its highs and lows, as well as many perplexing events in between. I learned a lot in high school, both intellectually and emotionally. It has unveiled and exposed my true colors, both good and terrible, and has shaped many facets of my personality as a result. I am the person I am today because of my experiences in Ilocos Sur National High School. I learned a lot this quarter. The information that I have obtained is in the area of websites, where I learned how to design my own website using Microsoft FrontPage. Overall, I have learned a lot about my personal qualities, such as my strengths and weaknesses, and my work habits and attitudes.

  

               There have been numerous issues that I have faced. One of them is that I'm having trouble understanding our lecture. But, with the support of my peers and the internet, I was able to grasp the concepts by watching videos relating to our topics. Second, the module's directions are unclear, and third, I waste my time on social media. As a result, I procrastinate. I solve these issues by making a daily calendar outlining the subjects I need to complete each day. I'm going to be more productive if I manage my time well. To reduce my stress, I occasionally go out and reward myself. Despite the negative encounters, I had a good time during this quarter.

               Moving on, I will give it my all in my final year of high school. I'll carry everything I've learned on this journey with me and apply it in the future. Regardless of the problems I may face in the future, I will do my best to be more productive each day, preserve my determination, and learn. In order to prevent being stressed on my next journey, I will also allow myself to rest.

DAD

               Every small child needs a superhero in their life as they grow up. A superhero is someone who serves as an example to them. Every child's first superhero encounter is with his or her father. A father is the emblem of power that connects the entire family. Fathers are the most diligent workers. They will go to any length to provide for their children. Every third Sunday in June, Father's Day is observed. It's a day to honor all fathers and thank them for their unselfish efforts to their families.

                    There are two stories behind Father's Day celebrations. The inaugural Father's Day was observed in America on June 19, 1910, to honor Miss Sonora Smart Doom's father. William Smart's wife died while he was expecting his sixth child. After his wife died, he was left to raise his six children alone. Sanora Smart, William Smart's daughter, wanted to commemorate Father's Day on June 5, the anniversary of her father's death. She believed that while we all admire and appreciate the mother's sacrifices and feelings, no one pays attention to the sacrifices of the father. Father's Day was first observed in America in Fairmont, West Virginia, according to the second story. The inaugural commemoration of the day took place on July 5, 1908. It was built in commemoration of 361 workers who died in a coal mine explosion in 1907. During President Nixon's presidency, Father's Day was declared a national holiday in 1972.

               By honoring Father's Day, we recognize not only fatherhood but also its vital influence and significance in our lives. We honor the strength, security, sacrifice, and all else that comes with parenthood. We should be grateful to our fathers every day, not just on this special day, but every day for providing us with the life we have, for showering us with love and gifts, for safeguarding us from all evils, and for being our guide and support system. A father is a role model, a friend, and a source of inspiration for his children.

In today's society, waste management is critical. What exactly is waste management? Waste management, is the collection, transportation, and disposal of rubbish and other waste products. The generation of waste is more than doubling every day as the population grows. Furthermore, the growth in the garbage is having an impact on the lives of many individuals. They live in slums that are quite close to a waste disposal location. As a result, they are vulnerable to a variety of diseases and their lives are in danger.

Solid waste management is a worldwide concern that affects everyone. As a result, everyone must be informed about waste management in order to know what to do. Do you desire a more environmentally friendly world? If you do, it is time to relocate. We people are accountable for trash sustainability and environmental protection. We may accomplish this by following the 3r of waste management. We can help prevent pollution and safeguard the environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling our garbage. We can conserve energy. Aids in the preservation of the environment for future generations. This saves money. And it minimizes the amount of waste that must be recycled or disposed of in landfills and incinerators.

Aside from 3r, we can also manage our garbage through landfills, which is the most frequent waste management approach. Garbage is buried in big trenches in the earth and then covered with mud. As a result, over time, the rubbish decomposes inside the pits. Finally, the odor and area occupied by waste are eliminated using this procedure. Composting is the process of transforming organic waste into fertilizer. This technique improves soil fertility. As a result, it promotes increased plant growth. Furthermore, it is a valuable waste management conversion that benefits the environment.

Waste management is everyone's duty because everyone generates waste. Citizens must comprehend this issue and understand that their involvement is critical to preserving our natural resources and converting trash into wealth rather than health risks and pollution. We must take care of our garbage in order to preserve and save Mother Earth. By making a tiny contribution to trash management, we can help minimize foul odors, population, garbage generation, and energy output.

INDEPENDENCE

 

Independence is the right of every individual to exercise free will while abiding by the laws of the land, recognition as a sovereign country without compromising diplomatic connections, and recognition as a nation that places the highest priority on human rights. The Philippines' independence was a huge accomplishment. On Independence Day, the sacrifices of national heroes are recalled, the country's sovereignty is celebrated, citizens are instilled with nationalism, and the culture and traditions of its people are celebrated. Businesses, companies, and schools are closed on this national holiday, and families spend the day in parks and other celebration activities.

The Philippines, a group of over 7,000 islands in the western Pacific, achieved independence from Spanish domination more than 120 years ago. This claim was made by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, but it wasn't until 1962 that then-President Diosdado Macapagal declared it a public holiday through a presidential decree. On June 12, 1898, the Filipino flag was unfurled for the first time at an exciting celebration that also included the first public performance of the Philippines' national anthem. Since then, July 12 has been designated as Independence Day. Independence Day commemorates the long-fought war for liberty and the people who waged it. Filipinos should never forget the country's difficult but triumphant march to freedom. This celebration serves as a reminder to Filipinos to foster a hunger for knowledge of the country's rich history, including its struggle for independence.

Our country's independence was the most significant event in its history. Not only did we terminate more than three centuries of subservience, but we also resolved to chart our own trajectory as a nation. Every year, we celebrate Independence Day and grow to appreciate our country more. The 12th of July is a significant day in the life of all Filipinos. This day should be celebrated with love and pride for our country. The reason for celebrating is to commemorate the feeling of freedom from oppression. Another reason for celebrating Independence Day is to pay honor to all the freedom warriors who gave their lives in the country's service.

MOM

 

A mother is the most powerful creature on the planet. A mother may appear to be a simple and little six-letter word, but it is much more than that. Even before the child is born, the mother is the greatest warrior for them. It is a unique day that is commemorated all around the world. We celebrate Mother's Day to show our appreciation for our mothers and to convey our love, respect, honor, and gratitude. They are revered as the ultimate emblem of sacrifice and are known throughout the world for their love and affection.

Mother, our living angel who effortlessly manages everything around the house. She looks after her child from the moment she is born till she dies. Even when they are exhausted, they continue to perform their jobs and responsibilities. She is the one whose job is unrestricted and unpaid. A mother is dedicated to her family, particularly her children. She is her child's first teacher and first friend. A mother feeds her children, prepares them for school, assists them with their homework, and unconditionally loves her children. Indeed, a mother is everything. 

A mother's world revolves around her children. She constantly motivates her children, encourages them to progress, leads them along the right path, and responds to their needs. Mothers instill good manners, equality, morality, and humanity in their offspring. In reality, every child's mother is the most valuable present he can receive. As a result, we must value, respect, and love our mothers because they are the ones that assist us in all aspects. A mother is the one person on the planet who never abandons us.

Therefore, millions of people may adore a man or lady. Even so, just one in a million will love them unconditionally in all circumstances, including success and failure, good health and bad health, abject poverty and great wealth. "Mother" is that one individual, and Mother's Day is a crucial time to honor and celebrate your mother's motherhood. She is the one who loves you wholeheartedly and would not hesitate to sacrifice her own life to save yours. The very least you can do to honor her motherhood is to celebrate Mother's Day with her.

BINATBATAN

                      Festivals are supposed to be a unique gathering of people, an enchanting celebration of what it means to be human, a condensed series of extraordinary in-person events. However, a pandemic struck, and we were unable to celebrate our festivals. Even if we are currently dealing with a pandemic, we will continue to enjoy festivals. Nevertheless, we must still adhere to health regulations. The Viva Vigan Festival of Arts takes place in May, usually during the first week of the month. It was founded in 1993 to raise awareness of the historic town's importance in order to enhance the community's desire to conserve and maintain it. The practice of beating cotton pods to remove the seeds for Abel weaving is known as "binatbatan." Locals regarded this as an occupational dance involving two sticks known as "batbat." During the week-long festival, the Binabatan street dance is one of the primary attractions. The celebration features "boklan," a local art form that involves mosaicking seeds. Carabao painting, Kalesa march, spoken poetry, Abel decors, and a fashion show are all part of the festivities.

           

 

                         The streets were closed, and people gathered in specific areas. The drums are pounding loudly and clearly. The street dancers are dressed in bright costumes and joyfully exclaim "Viva Vigan!" The administrators used street dance to commemorate the Binatbatan holiday, with students from several schools taking part. They wave their "batbat" happily and cheerfully, some imitating the way used by Abel-weavers in separating the cottons as they gracefully perform the process artistically to the beat of drums and lyres rolling through the ancient streets of Vigan's heritage city. They also have a basket on their backs where they put the cotton pods collected from the kapas sanglay tree. Their outfits are abel weaving-themed, since they honor the Abel Iloco hand-loom weaving business.

                    The Binatbatan Festival, which draws thousands of local and foreign tourists to its streets lined with ancestral houses, brings the legacy to life in a riot of colors. Every year, from the last week of April to the first week of May, the Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts is held. I hope that we can celebrate this in the first week of May in the year 2022. Many people are anticipating street dance, and I can state that people miss festival celebrations. People from all throughout Ilocos Sur are also looking forward to the Binatbatan event. Empower a Woman to Empower Next Generation

 

                    Gender equality is a human right first and foremost. A woman has the right to live in dignity, free from hunger and fear. How many of us would be shocked, enraged, and offended if someone said, "Women belong in the kitchen." How many of us would agree that something wasn't quite right and that something had to be done? Or, alternatively, how many people would sit back and do nothing? We fit into one of the groups, but the question is, where do we fit in? Since the dawn of time, men have had a negative attitude towards women. Women have historically been viewed as inferior or subordinate to men. We can't dispute that there is still gender disparity. It is more prevalent in our society. In fact, discrimination against women begins even before they are born. It's a sad reality, but it's the truth. 

               Women's empowerment is defined as fostering women's self-esteem, their ability to make their own decisions, and their right to affect societal change for themselves and others. It's linked to female empowerment, a basic human right that's also necessary for a more peaceful and successful world. In today's society, women's empowerment is vitally needed. It is crucial for both women's self-esteem and society's. Women have the right to participate in education, society, the economy, and politics on an equal footing with males. They have the ability to choose their religion, language, occupation, and other activities. Women's empowerment is the single most critical aspect of a country's overall development. We should enhance our self-esteem, shut out negativity, know our own values, oppose injustice, and more to empower women. Women's empowerment benefits entire families, and these benefits frequently have long-term consequences for future generations. Women's empowerment is essential for long-term development and the fulfillment of all human rights.

            Women and girls who are healthy, educated, and empowered are change agents. Women's empowerment is critical for the health and development of families, communities, and nations. Women can attain their greatest potential when they live in a safe, joyful, and productive environment. They can contribute their abilities to the workforce while also raising happier and healthier kids. They can also contribute to the development of sustainable economies, as well as benefit society and mankind as a whole. Women's empowerment in the purest sense will only be realized once society's attitudes toward fairness and equality have changed.
